Free fly tying class for Malden Angler members and family/friends9:00 am - 1:00 pmCraig Andree will lead a free fly tying class for Malden Angler members and family/friends. This offer is for those with no or minimal fly tying experience. Malden Anglers is pleased to offer an introduction to fly tying class on Saturday, November 1, from 9am to 1pm at the club for its members and their family members. Since we have so many new members and others that wish to dust off their fly tying rust, we wanted to offer an opportunity to learn this fabulous activity.The class will discuss equipment and the differences in selecting fly tying vises and other tools. Additionally, we will talk in general terms on hatches and life cycles of the typical bugs that trout feed on. And of course, everyone will tie their own flies to bring home. You are welcome to bring a family member to participate (children older than 12 or have great attention span).
Craig Andree, a FFI certified fly tier will lead the program. He will supply all the equipment, tools, and materials. There is no cost. But he needs know how many participants and whether they have their own equipment (vise) or not. Contact Craig at candree@comcast.net to register.
