MARCH 2017

Ladies and gentlemen;

I hope this letter finds you all well as winter finally lets up her grip. We look ahead to work parties and spring fishing. Our spring work party will be held on March 25th. We have a lot to do so please try and make it. There are tasks for everyone to do regardless of physical limitations.

Our monthly meeting will be held on March 28th at 630 pm. It is our annual corn beef and cabbage dinner.

Our pond management program is underway. Bob McKechnie will be able to answer all your questions. Our spring stocking is slated to take place on Wednesday March 29th at 10am depending on traffic from Plymouth. Opening day is Saturday April 1st.

We also have a speaker this month. Dan Wolff is an expert on ticks which most if not all of us have experienced. Dan has designed a unique tool for removing them. More info can be found at tickease.com. We also have speakers lined up for April and May.

In an effort to bring some uniformity to the club, effective in 2018 all memberships fees will be due March 1st. Anyone renewing after that date will be assessed the new member rate. This will ensure that we are good shape to address the new bills we receive right out of the gate for the new year.

The Eldredge Brothers Expo on Saturday March 25th will feature a Malden Anglers table. Please try to stop by after the work party to enjoy some free food and demonstrations.

This year is the club's 70th anniversary. We are making a big push to recruit new members. On September 9th we will be having an open house/flea market This event will be open to the public. Please spread the word for all the people we know that haven't driven by a million times and didn't know what it was. Just like I said before I joined More information will be available as we get closer and plan more things If anyone would like to help plan this please let me know. Anyone interested in joining the 70th anniversary committee please contact me directly. We are hoping to use that as a membership recruiting tool.

Tight Lines - Joe Cresta.
