DISCUSSION GROUP - GOOGLE GROUPS

When you click on the link below you will be directed to Malden Angler's new discussion board. On this board you will have the opportunity to review and address subjects posted by other members, post digital pictures and other computer files and read essays or articles posted in this special area..

Please, I want your feedback regarding this new feature. If you like it and find it functional and enjoyable: I'll keep it up, if not we'll return to the previous format. In any case, here are a couple of "rules:"

• Malden Angler's discussion group pages are hosted free of charge to our organization by Google Groups. Click on the link below to enter the discussion board. To post content (pictures, discussion items, files) you must be a member of the group. To do this first click: Apply for group membership. You will be taken through a few easy steps to create an account with Google, this will involve providing your valid email address and creating a password.

• A Google account is necessary to be a member. You only need to create an account once, simply sign in thereafter. There is no charge for an account, but please read Google's terms of service, help and privacy policy carefully. Malden Anglers is not responsible for your Google account, passwords, emails, etc.

• Once you have registered for Google, sign in and request an invitation to join. I will receive your request for membership, approve it and send you an email invitation. Accept the invitation by following the instructions in the email - you're all set. Using this approach, only club members are authorized to post items to this group. This is designed to eliminate SPAM, unsolicited advertising or offensive postings from entering our site.

• Anyone; the public, members and non-members may read posted discussions, articles or download pictures. However, again, only group members may post new pictures, responses or articles.

• This discussion group is designed for Malden Anglers. The idea to encourage dialog between users about fly fishing, fly tying and subjects around the sport we love and the club that we are so proud of. I expect that this area will be a popular way to share photos, read newsletters and articles and schedule events. However, this is a monitored discussion group. It has to be. While my intention is not to censor content. I will remove offensive content, off topic content, content that is detrimental to the club or the privacy of its members or discussions that are monopolized by a user or member. Please drop me an email or let the club's governing board know if there is a specific issue regarding my performance in this function.

• Finally, I'll monitor and maintain invitations to the best of my available time. Please be patient if I don't turn up an invitation immediately or post a discussion as quickly as you would like. I'll get to it.
