Malden Anglers' is a fly-fishing club founded in 1946 located in Saugus, Massachusetts just minutes from Boston.

The clubs three acre trout pond is stocked twice a year with a variety of Brown and Rainbow trout and an occasional "Brookie". Seldom are fish caught less than 12 inches in length and "trophy" fish exceeding 18 inches are regularly stocked. For even the most experienced fly-fisherman, Malden Anglers offers some truly challenging fishing opportunities. Presentation and fly selection are keys to a productive day whether you are dry fly fishing, nymphing or stripping in a streamer. The area offers a chance to match-the-hatch against some pretty selective trout.

Club members can also enjoy a spacious clubhouse featuring a cozy wood burning stove, clean bathrooms and a large deck over looking the trout pond.

For the beginning fly fisherman, the six casting docks provide ample room to practice the perfect back-cast, double-haul or to learn to roll cast. In addition to fishing, fly tiers regularly meet on Monday evenings around 7pm to tie flies, share ideas and techniques and exaggerate their fishing exploits. During some of these meetings a "road trip" or local fishing trip may be planned. If you are new to tying, Malden Anglers' holds fly-tying classes. Many of the member are more than happy to share their years of experience to help anyone new to fly-fishing or fly tying.

Club members meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month for a business meeting from September through May. Entertainment includes area guides, fly tying demonstrations or auctions. Some meetings include a barbeque on the deck, pasta supper, corned beef or ham dinners. You can also try your luck at our raffle table to win tackle, books or objects of art.

Club members also maintain grounds and facilities on semi-annual work-days. These days are an opportunity to keep up the grounds, as well as help to build a unique sense of camaraderie and fellowship amoung members.

Once a year, the club holds "Kids Day". Members can bring children of all ages to the pond to fish with bait and lures. This is typically towards the end of the season in early July. This is a fun day for kids of all ages.
